Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports, manage balance sheet entries, maintain the asset register, and reconcile dividends using Xero.
Compliance Management: Prepare monthly Installment Activity Statements (IAS) and quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) efficiently.
Quality Assurance: Review bookkeeping work completed by internal team members or business owners to ensure absolute precision.
Workflow Documentation: Prepare clear, concise, and audit-ready work papers that substantiate all performed tasks.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders, assisting with tax return setups and regulatory administration.
Public Practice Experience: 4+ years of solid experience working within a small to medium-sized Australian accountancy practice.
Xero Expertise: 4+ years of deep working knowledge of Xero accounting software, including Xero Green.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate across a remote team.
Core Professional Competencies: Excellent attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a disciplined approach to following processes and completing timesheets.
Workflow Tools: Hands-on experience or familiarity with Karbon practice management software.
Tax Knowledge: A basic foundational understanding of setting up individual or business tax returns.
